Deborah Beam Hanson

Deborah Beam Hanson, of Oxford, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at the age of 71. Deborah and Gary started their life together over 56 years ago and were members of Stewart Community Church. She spent her career working in daycare and was Mrs. Deborah to many. She loved every child like her own and never forgot a face. Deborah was a friend to all, but cherished those friends that she had her whole life.  She was proud to be one of The Porterdale Girls and looked forward to those lunches and reunions.  She spent countless days shopping with her sister and going to concerts, wherever you saw one you saw the other.  Her home and her family was her pride and joy. She loved decorating and always doing different things around her house. Deborah was also an amazing cook and enjoyed having the house full of family, especially her granddaughters.

Survivors include her loving husband, Gary Hanson; sons, Greg Hanson (Tracy Campbell), Adam Hanson (Melody); granddaughters, Hannah Christian (Todd), Reagan Hanson, Payton Hanson; future great-granddaughter, Baby Girl Christian; sister, Mary Johnson; brother, Mark Beam (Susan); as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Hanson will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abbey Hospice Foundation, P.O.
