Debra “Dee” Sinclair, of Conyers, passed away August 31, 2023, at the age of 63. She will always be remembered as our “Teacher”. She was a wise woman and a lover of nature; especially humming birds. She advocated for the kind treatment of animals, as well as, respect for our planets’ resources. She appreciated the English language when used correctly, with proper grammar and pronunciation. Dee was an avid reader, Stephen King being her favorite author. Traveling was her passion. She loved “Cruising”, the beach being her favorite destination. She LOVED the Sun! Dee was very accepting of others and made her opinion regarding bigotry “Well Known”. In addition, she was quick witted with a great sense of humor. Her spirit will be deeply missed, never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her father, John L. Hawthorne and brother, John David Hawthorne. Her family was near and dear to her heart. Survivors include her mother, Martha Bowman; wife, Michelle Swearingen; daughter, Sabrina Patrick (Sam), son, John “Nick” Hall (Ann); Grandchildren, Libby Mervin, Luke Mervin; Sisters, Susan Rhodes (Dane), Robin Lamondo (Charles); Sister in Law, Cristy Swearingen (Erin); numerous nieces and nephews as well as beloved foster children, and grandchildren that she considered her own.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Georgia.
