Delores "Dee" Gudgen

Delores "Dee" Gudgen of Covington, passed away March 13, 2015, at the age of 67. She enjoyed hunting for antiques, flower and vegetable gardening, canning vegetables and traveling to the beach and fishing with her husband. Dee was very artistic and creative, and she will be remembered for her imaginative care packages. She treasured pictures of her family as they were her priority. Dee was cherished by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew C. Bennett and Freda Farmer; sister, Yvonne Evans.

Survivors include her husband, Darrel Gudgen; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Alan Coon; grandchildren, Christopher Sipes, Courtney Sipes, John Villagomez; great-grandson, Ayden Sipes; brother, Bruce Cook; and her half-sister, Lisa Grindle.

Funeral Services for Dee will be held March 15, 2015, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Danny Newbern officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM.
