Delories Carithers

Delories Carithers of Covington, passed away November 20, 2016, at 78 years of age. Mrs. Carithers attended Gaithers United Methodist Church. After 17 years of service at Hercules, she retired and began a new career as a supervisor at Stanley Tool. Mrs. Carithers enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and cooking, but most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Carithers; son, Timothy Carithers; parents, William Elford and Doris Deann (Pierce) Brown; brother, Ronald Brown.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Carithers Gossett; son, James L. Carithers, both of Covington; grandchildren, Daniel Chavez and his wife, Delores, Justin James, James E. Carithers, Shane Crane, Jason Carithers, Bryan Carithers, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Carithers will be held, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. Terry Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Covington Mill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
