Access RoadJesus called and Mama answered! Diane N. Busbee of Covington, passed away October 21, 2012, at the age of 80. Mrs. Busbee was a member of St. John's Baptist Church, in Decatur, and former member of Community Baptist Church, in Henry County. She was a very active church member, but also enjoyed attending other churches in her neighborhood. On August 19, 1945, she was presented a New Testament Bible for being so proficient in Bible sword drills. She raised ten children, at 4144 Canby Lane; and while she had no family to raise her, she was blessed with 65 immediate family members of her own. She loved doing word searches, and was known for her fried chicken and dressing. Mrs. Busbee's favorite Bible verse reads, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13); and her favorite saying, "I'm gonna make it, Uncle Jim!" She was preceded in death by her son, Tony White; and her husband, George Cleveland Busbee.Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Wald, Patricia and Bill Faith, Diane Tollison, all of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Susan Busbee of Duluth, Joey and Patti Busbee of Jefferson, David and Shannon Busbee of Madison, Paul and Mandy Busbee, Kenneth Busbee, all of Covington, Billy and Jennifer Busbee of Comer, GA; grandchildren, Randy Barrett, Terri Johnson, Lee Faith, Melissa White, Jenny White, Heather Woods, Charity Massey, Molly Poss, Carly Busbee, Kristen Winkle, Corey Busbee, Summer Busbee, Taylor Busbee, Jordan Busbee, Maddison Busbee, Cameron Busbee, Jesse Busbee, Kyle Busbee, April Busbee, Tyler Busbee, Dalton Busbee, Carey Busbee, Stanley Tollison, Steve Tollison; 15 great-grandchildren; and her dog, Buddy.Funeral Services for Mrs. Busbee will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Nolan Jackson, Rev. Tracy Puckett, and Dr. William Jackson officiating, and interment following in Fairview Memorial Gardens, in Stockbridge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday, October 23 and 24, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM.
