Don Staples

Access RoadDon Staples of Jackson, passed away April 7, 2010, at the age of 60. Mr. Staples worked as a mechanic with the Local 48. He enjoyed salt water fishing and painting cars. Mr. Staples was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Sue (Johnson) Staples; twin brother, Dan; brothers, Louie, Doc, Charles, Billy; and his parents, Malcom and Annie Mae (Fowler) Staples. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Jason Damron of Snellville; brother and sister-in-law, Aaron and Bobbi Staples of Stockbridge; grandson, Cooper Damron; nephew, Daniel, and his wife, Kim Staples, their children, Danielle and Taylor; several other nieces and nephews; and companion, Jimmie-Nell Shaffer of Newborn. Funeral Services for Mr. Staples will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating, and interment following in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, in Jonesboro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, April 9, from 5 to 8 PM.
