Donald "Don" Waggoner

Donald "Don" Waggoner of Covington, passed way Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the age of 66. A true outdoorsman, Don was happiest being out in nature, whether hunting with his father and son, camping, or just observing wildlife. He was down-to-earth and relished simplicity. Don adored his family and spent time with them as often as possible. He was preceded in death by his father, George Merle Waggoner and sister, Debbie Waggoner; and step-son, Tony Oxenrider;

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Waggoner; son, Jamie Waggoner; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Chris Collins; step-sons, Tim Oxenrider and his wife, Debbie, Chad Oxenrider; grandchildren, DJ Waggoner, Jacob Waggoner, Isaac Waggoner, Anna Jean Waggoner, Tabitha Bake, RJ Bake, Christal Lanoy Duran, Shawn Oxenrider, Hannah Oxenrider, Faith Oxenrider, Sophia Oxenrider, Olivia Oxenrider; three great-grandchildren; mother, Aliena Waggoner; brothers, David Waggoner, Kevin Waggoner; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Don will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Newton Baptist Church, 720 Jack Neely Road, in Covington, with Pastor Tony Howeth, officiating. Friends may visit with his family at the church, one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Newton Baptist Church.
