Doris Garrison

Doris Garrison, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the age of 76. Ms. Garrison was a member of Word of Life Tabernacle where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years and had a huge impact on thousands of children’s lives. She was a switchboard operator for over 30 years. Ms. Garrison enjoyed going on cruises and was the life of the party. She was everyone’s nanny and loved spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Garrison was preceded in death by her Mother, Hattie Lou Sudduth; Father, Cecil Robert McFearin; Sisters, Barbara Garner, and Betty Jean Furr.

Survivors include her Daughter, Teresa Weathersbee (Eddie); Grandchildren, Jennifer Strawn, Hannah Weathersbee; 6 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild with one on the way; Brothers, David McFearin (Sharon) Robert McFearin (Deborah); as well as other loving family members and her Word of Life Tabernacle Family.

A Memorial Service for Ms. Garrison will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022, 3:00 P.M., at Word of Life Tabernacle, with Rev. Daniel Gissendaner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Word of Life Tabernacle Missions at https://www.wordoflifetab.net/donate/ .
