Doris Sellers Hale

Doris Sellers Hale of Porterdale, passed away March 5, 2011, at the age of 89. Mrs. Hale worked for Covington Manufacturing Co., and retired from Hercules, Inc., after 14 years of service. She loved sewing, and enjoyed working in the flower garden, fishing, canning and cooking. Mrs. Hale was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Hale; daughter, Bobbie Nell Dooley; parents, Joseph Radford and Nellie (Mann) Sellers; brothers, Joseph R. Sellers and Don Sellers. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jo and Kent Studdard of Watkinsville, Dianne H. and Bobby Clegg of Social Circle, Judy H. and Wendell English of Conyers; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Evelyn Hale of Mansfield; 8 grandchildren, Mark Dooley, Jennifer Hendrix, Tracy Niemeier, Stephanie Barnes, Jeff Clegg, Jason Hale, Bryan Hale, Wade Cason; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Polly Sellers, Billy and Phyllis Sellers, Polly J. Sellers, Margie Sellers; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral Services for Mrs. Hale will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., with Rev. Jeff Clegg officiating, and interment following in Resthaven Cemetery, in Monroe. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, March 7, from 5-8 PM.
