Doris C. Pearson of Decatur, formerly of Covington, passed away June 27, 2013, at the age of 83. She was a member of Glen Haven Baptist Church, in McDonough. Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ralph Pearson, Sr.; parents, Everitt Oliver and Cassie (Martin) Cofer; and her brothers, Oliver Aaron Cofer and Edward Lamar Cofer.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Trinity Pearson; granddaughters, Brooklynn and Bentley Pearson, all of Hixson, TN; sister, Latrelle Hodge; nieces, Gay Earls, Joy Hodge, Janet Achmad, Cecelia Wheeler, Laurie Ellison, Bev Wideman, Cheryl Vanderhoof, Cindy McDowell, Karen Cofer, Christine Cofer; nephews, Edward Cofer, Robertson Cofer, Chuck Cofer, and Sam Cofer.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Pearson will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Stan Berrong officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM.
