Dorothy H. Dial of Covington, passed away February 23, 2016, at the age of 88. A member of The Baptist Tabernacle for 42 years, Mrs. Dial always put others before herself. She enjoyed fishing but one of her greatest joys was going to the ballfield to watch her grandchildren play ball. Mrs. Dial was a wonderful cook and loved preparing meals for her family. She will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved her. Preceding her in death were her husband, Astor Dial; parents, Alexander Steven and Rosa Hall; sisters, Alice Hall, Daisy Garner; brothers, Andrew Hall, Billy Hall, Tommy Hall, Omer Hall, J.W. Hall, J.T. Hall, and Marvin Hall.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles (Ron) and Judy Dial, Greg and Lori Dial, all of Covington; grandchildren, Stacy Shrader, Amanda Dial, Jeremy Dial, Chuck Dial, Tyler Long, Travis Long, Allen Murray, Dalton Smith; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Dial will be held Friday, February 26, 2016, 11:00 AM, at The Baptist Tabernacle, 10119 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. R. Hudson Moody and Dr. David Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family for visitation Thursday, February 25, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
