Dorothy Clay Williams, mother of Robert Clay, of Covington, passed away March 2, 2018, at the age of 91. Mrs. Williams was a star basketball player at Loganville High School. She was a loving person who liked cooking for friends and family - she would happily make a meal for anyone who visited. Mrs. Williams was a fan of country and gospel music, and she loved to go fishing whenever possible. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Clay; husband, James Melford Williams; and parents, Jess and Florence Moon.

Survivors include her son, Robert Clay of Covington; grandchildren, Martin Clay Davis, Tiffany Leigh Hinton, Samuel Richard Darby, Robert Clay, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Hannah Hinton, Hillary Hinton, Tyler Clay, Hayden Hinton, Stockton Darby, Mason Davis, Danner Davis, Joshua Clay; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Williams will be held Monday, March 5, 2018, 3:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Larry Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home Sunday, March 4, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
