Earnest E. Bradford

Earnest E. Bradford of Oxford, passed away February 9, 2011, at the age of 81. Mr. Bradford was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was formerly a member of Conyers Christian Church, but had been a member of Cornish Mountain Baptist Church for the last six years. He retired as a foreman, from Madison Steel, after 20 years of service. Mr. Bradford enjoyed being outdoors, building bird houses, and playing both the harmonica and spoons. He loved his church and his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Bradford; and his parents, Newman and Eula (Eidson) Bradford. Survivors include his wife, Faye Bradford of Oxford; children, ElJuana Dailey, and her husband, Robert of Conyers, Kim Jowers of Charlotte, NC, Darrell Jowers of Oxford, Rhonda Boelkes of Hampton, IA, Lori Finney of Woodstock; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Shellie Smith of Conyers, 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. A Memorial Service for Mr. Bradford will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Cornish Mountain Baptist Church, with Pastor Jerry Barrett officiating.
