Access RoadEdith Marie Owens of Covington, passed away January 22, 2012, at the age of 87. Mrs. Owens was a faithful member of Covington Church of Christ. She is loved, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover T. Owens; sons, David Igo, Jerry Igo; parents, Bertia Edgar, Sr., and Clara Thelma (McDowell) White; brothers, Bertia Edgar White, Jr., William White. Survivors include her daughter, Linda I. McDaniel, Crawford, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Wanda Igo, Meridianville, AL, daughter-in-law, Gail Igo, Madison, GA; grandchildren, Herbert Igo II and wife Kim, Charissa Watson, Melissa Lusk and husband Brandon, Jennifer Lollie and husband Terry, Shawna Grindle, Craig Igo and wife Leah, Jill Igo; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Mattie White, South Hill, VA, Irene and David Honaker; Mildred Mines; brother and sister-in-law, Myles and Betty White; sister-in-law, Janetta White, all of White Sulphur Springs, WV.Funeral Services for Mrs. Owens will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012, 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with the Pastor of Covington Church of Christ, Bill McIlvain officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, from 3:00-4:00 PM.
