Edith Wilson

Edith Wilson, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the age of 87. Mrs. Wilson, affectionately known as “Bubbles”, loved her Irish heritage. She was a long-time resident of South Philadelphia where she attended St. Phillips School. Mrs. Wilson was widowed at the age of 27 and raised four boys by herself, all while working multiple jobs to provide for her family. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino, cooking, reading and was a huge fan of Elvis. In addition, Mrs. Wilson loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Wilson; and long-time partner, Joseph Petrone.

Survivors include her sons, William Wilson (Darlene), Michael Wilson (Helen), Patrick Wilson; granddaughters, Nicole Wilson, Katrina Wilson, Christine Banks (Jason); great-grandchildren, Darren, Gavin, Camryn; sister, Peggy Yeager (Bud); brothers, Pat Cunningham, Terry Cunningham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Private Memorial Service for Mrs. Wilson will be held by her family.
