Edwin "Red" Davis

Edwin "Red" Davis of Covington, passed away September 21, 2013, at the age of 63. Mr. Davis loved his family dearly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outside and riding in his truck. He also loved going to Arrowhatchee Plantation and feeding the donkey, Jack. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa (Layson) Davis; parents, Robert Lloyd and Betty Elizabeth (Poteet) Davis; sister, Linda Jones; and brother, Richard Davis, Sr.

Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Beverley and Charles Cole of Covington, Regina Davis of McDonough, Kathy Young of Conyers; brothers and sister-in-law, Phillip and Evelyn Patterson of Walnut Grove, Robert Davis of Conyers; nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Jeremy Richardson of Covington, Mandy and Derrick Martin of Conyers, Richard Davis, Jr. of Social Circle, Robbie and Rachel Barclay, Lee and Jennifer Cole, Audrey Patterson, all of Covington, William Patterson of Pigeon Forge, TN, Chris Jones of Oxford, Timothy Jones of FL, Debra and Allen Edge, Linda Jones, Betty Jones, all of Hartwell, GA; numerous great nieces and great nephews

Funeral Services for Mr. Davis will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Scott Caudill officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, September 23, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
