Elaine Leacock

Elaine Josephine Leacock, born April 27th, 1944, in Courtland-Corentyne, Guyana died on Friday, December 22 nd, 2023, at Toronto Western Hospital in Toronto, Canada, at the age of 79. She was preceded by her loving husband, Randolph Leacock, and their sons, Ollie and Goffrey Leacock; siblings, Muriel Lyte, Charles Barnes, Glen Barnes, and Ronald Drakes. Elaine is survived by her loving children, Hattie-Mae, Gregory, Sherlene, and Otto. Also, sisters, Merlene Gittens and Joan Atkins; brothers, Joseph Barnes and Lennox Barnes; grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Elaine attended All Saints Scots School in New Amsterdam Berbice, Guyana. Elaine loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. In her earlier years, she started her profession as a seamstress. She later migrated to Tortola, and finally to Canada where she continued being a seamstress.

Elaine will be missed by her family, extended family, and friends.

A Funeral Service for Elaine Leacock will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 2:00PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Friday, January 5, 2024 from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.
