Elizabeth W. Cowan

Access RoadElizabeth W. Cowan of Covington, passed away August 7, 2011, at the age of 82. Mrs. Cowan enjoyed cooking, gardening, and bird watching. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don L. Cowan; and her parents, Allen Davis and Vadie (Rutledge) Wilson. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Gail Cowan; sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. Owens, both of Covington, Donald L. Cowan, Ronnie H. and Angela Cowan, all of Social Circle; grandchildren, Mark and Craig Owens, Evelyn and Jacob Cowan, Jessica Jeffries, Melissa Nash; great-grandchildren, Andrew Hanson, Evan Jeffries; sister, Myrtice Farrow of Covington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Ann Wilson of Covington, Allen D. Jr., and Myrtle Wilson of Chester, VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral Services for Mrs. Cowan will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Rev. Doug Parham and Rev. Tony Howeth officiating, and interment following in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, in Conyers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, August 8, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.
