(Elizabeth) Adrian Capes

(Elizabeth) Adrian Capes, of Covington, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024. Mrs. Capes was an active member of Shiloh Methodist Church and the Covington Elks Lodge, as well as serving with the Elks Aidmore Children’s Center. She adored her family and treasured the time she spent with them, whether playing dominos or cards with her sisters or spending time with her great-granddaughters. Her family will lovingly remember her as the best mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Capes was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Capes; parents, Clem and Mary Holmes; grandson, Michael Moss; brothers, Jerry Holmes, Melvin Holmes, Bobby Holmes; and sisters, Jeanette Ellington, Ruby Ellis.

Survivors include her daughters, Lynda Moss (Tim), Melissa McLendon (Chris); son, Greg Capes (Tracy); Grandchildren, Trey Capes (Rebecca), Jesica Gurley (Nic), Kati Rider (Casey), Christopher Moss (Shae), Ryan McLendon, Lindsey McLendon; great-granddaughters, Ella Kate Rider, Emery Elizabeth Rider; Sisters, Dianne Reagin (Sidney), Faye Johnson (Ronald); as well as Several Nieces and Nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Capes will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Mike Wadley and Rev. Ronnie Capes officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
