Elsie D. Smith

Ms. Elsie D. Smith of Covington passed away November 8, 2010 at the age of 76. Born in Newton County to the late Reber Neal and Annice Christine "Tinie" (Cagle) Ivey, she worked for John H. Harland Company, enjoyed cooking and growing flowers. Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchild. Elsie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Anthony Fox; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Gwen Wells: brothers and sisters-in-law, Freddie and Maxine Ivey, Melvin and Irene Ivey all of Covington; grandchildren, Lasha and Andy Bass, Philip and April Lowe, Laramy Wells, Leslie and Patrick Studdard; great-granddaughter, Svea "Precious" Bass.
A Graveside service for Ms. Smith will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, 11:00 A.M. in Lawnwood Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Nash officiating. The family will receive friends at the Access Road location of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M.
