Emily Taylor

Emily Taylor of Porterdale, died October 30, 2010, at the age of 73.  The daughter of the late Huel and Lorrane Coady, she was a member of County Line Baptist Church.  Mrs. Taylor had worked in the textile industry as a weaver for Bibb Manufacturing Company in Porterdale and Beaver Manufacturing Company in Mansfield.  Her hobbies were sewing and crocheting, and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Surviving are her daughters, Ann Taylor of Porterdale, Elaine Gee of Monroe; son, Jim Taylor of Porterdale; grandsons, Justin Gee of Nashville, TN and Ross Hays of Newborn; granddaughters, Alison Flege and Melissa Hays, both of Monroe, Tori Taylor of Oxford; 2 great-granddaughters, 1 great-grandson; 4 brothers, 4 sisters, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at the Floyd Street Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, with Evangelist Sara Sanders, officiating, and interment following in Austin Chapel Cemetery, Covington.
