Emma Frances Rider Duke

Emma Frances Rider Duke of Covington, passed away December 11, 2018, at 92 years of age. With Mrs. Dukes loving demeanor, she had a huge heart and was known as the family caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing at the beach and the lake with them. Mrs. Duke was a gifted musician who could play many instruments, but especially enjoyed sharing her talent as she played the piano. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Duke; parents, Benjamin and Emma Rider; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Evon and Gregg Cowan, Ronda and David Neff; grandchildren, Dustin Piper, Danielle Neff, Ashley and Jared Coles, Brittany and Jeremy Coles; great-grandchildren, Cam Coles, Mason Coles, Case Coles; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Duke will be held Friday, December 14, 2018, 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 13, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
