Ernest C. Stowe

Ernest C. Stowe of Covington, passed away October 23, 2010, at the age of 82. He was a lifelong member of Cornish Mountain Baptist Church, and retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company after 57 years of service. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan who always enjoyed watching the game on TV. Mr. Stowe loved his family and friends dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee and Lillian (Swords) Stowe.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Annie Pearl Stowe of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Sammy and Carol Stowe of Oxford, Henry and Diane Stowe of Covington, Michael and Lisa Stowe of Hoschton; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Pat Stowe of Covington; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Stowe will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2010, 2:00 PM, at Cornish Mountain Baptist Church, with Pastor Jerry Barrett and Dr. Tolbert Moore officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Monday, October 25, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
