Eugene Willard

Eugene Willard, of Newborn, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the age of 83. Mr. Willard was a hard worker and loved the Lord and his life. He especially loved his family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mr. Willard was giving, kind, and generous and was always happy and very witty. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was farming or hunting. In addition, Mr. Willard shared a special place in his heart for his dog, Chopper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Willard; parents, James Horace and Gladys Inez Blankenship Willard.

Survivors include his daughters, Christy Kile (Wesley Taylor), Angela Willard; sons, Jamie Willard (Bridgette), Monty Willard (Judy); grandchildren, Brittany Petree (Sam), Brandon Willard (Sharon), Jeremy Willard, Timmy Willard, Dereck Willard, Nolan Willard, Nick Williamson, Dustin Williamson (Marissa), Zack Edge (Hailey) Abbey Wiliamson (Levi Story); 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Dianne Norman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Willard will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Brother Kurt Daniel officiating and interment following in Social Circle City Cemetery, in Social Circle. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Friday, February 9, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
