Evelyn Curtis Daniel of Porterdale, passed away February 15, 2015, at the age of 79. Mrs. Daniel was a lifelong member of Porterdale Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed embroidery, flower gardening and traveling to the beach. A wonderful cook, she was famous for her triple layer chocolate cake. Mrs. Daniel loved music, especially the banjo, guitar and piano. She adored her family and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walker Whatley and Etta Few Curtis.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Raymond C. Daniel, Jr.; daughter, Kimberlan D. Hollomon and husband, Mark of Powder Springs; son, Raymond C. (Chip) Daniel, III and wife, Laurie of Newborn; grandchildren, Kammy Keane, Chad Daniel, Logan Hollomon, Jacob Hollomon, Samantha Hollomon; sister, Janet C. Kitchens of Covington; brother and sisters-in-law, Edward (Bubba) and Peggy Curtis of Covington, Gary and Linda Curtis of McDonough; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Daniel will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Van Nesbit officiating and interment following in Covington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, February 17, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
