Evelyn B. Patterson

Evelyn B. Patterson, of Covington, passed away December 28, 2015, at the age of 80. Mrs. Patterson loved going to church. She taught a Sunday School class at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, where she had been a member for more than 20 years. Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Burton and Genelia Lassie (McCall) Brown; sisters, Catherine Huff, Beatrice Hodges; brothers, Griff Brown, J.B. Brown.

Survivors include her husband of 14 years, James Patterson; daughter and son-in-law, Joenell and Jimmy Jones; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Diane Motes, Tommy and Diane Motes, Charles Motes, Donnie Motes, Ronnie Motes; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine Seargant, Sherry Brown, Lillie Mae and Ronnie Mullinax; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Diane Brown.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Patterson will be held Thursday, December 31, 2015, 2:00 PM, with Pastor Kenny Dockins officiating and interment following in Corinth Memorial Gardens, 1635 GA Highway 81 SW, Loganville, GA. Friends may join the family for visitation at the church one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
