Florence "Googie" Barnes

Florence "Googie" Barnes, age 67, of Covington, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Prince Barnes; mother, Marjorie (Thomas) Morrel; father, Felix Michael Jones; sisters, Doris Smith, Marylin West, Anita Davis; and brothers, Alphonso Morrell, Ira Benjamin, Ernie Benjamin, Michael Jones.

Florence, and the memories she created along the way, will remain with all who loved her, especially her sons and daughter-in-law, Brandon Barnes, Jermaine and Staria Barnes; grandchildren, Bryanna C. Barnes, Kameron C. Barnes, Canika Barnes, Mikayla Barnes, Brian Barnes, Solomon Barnes, Jaylon Hudson, Reginald Wright, Chandler Wright; sisters and brother-in-law, Alice Benjamin, Margaret and Jess Hines; along with a host of other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Florence will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with her family at the funeral home for the viewing, Friday, February 7, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
