Gayle Bellinger

Gayle Bellinger, of Alpharetta, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the age of 71. Mrs. Bellinger was a Covington native and a member of Northpoint Church in Alpharetta. She graduated from Auburn University and was a part of the Delta Gamma Sorority. Mrs. Bellinger enjoyed playing tennis in her younger years, traveling, and loved going to Lake Oconee. She had a group of close friends who called themselves “The Pink Ladies”. Mrs. Bellinger loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bellinger; parents, James W. Purcell and Betty Purcell.

Survivors include her daughters, Julie Brandstetter (Jon), Kristin Manget (Will); grandchildren, Cooper Manget, Quinn Manget, Wells Brandstetter, Mac Manget, Chip Brandstetter; brother, Michael Purcell.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Bellinger will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Judge Samuel D. Ozburn officiating and interment following in Covington City Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to her service, from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harts of Teal Foundation at https://hartsofteal.org/ . A celebration of Life for Mrs. Bellinger will immediately follow after her burial, upstairs at the Social Goat, on the Covington square.
