Gene Ivey

Gene Ivey passed away at his home in Covington, December 9, 2012. He was 74 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Essie Ivey, and several brothers and sisters.
Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife of 38 years, Penny Ivey of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle Ivey and husband, Benjamin McGiboney of Monroe, Christy Leonguerrero and husband, John, of Covington; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Duckett, Brian, Matthew, and Leah McGiboney, Lorelei and Breanna Leonguerrero; sister Sara Nell Beard; special niece, Janie Worthy; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ivey will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Roy Ivey and Mac Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 12, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Flowers are accepted or love offerings may be made to the family.
