Gene Maddox of Buckhead, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the age of 72. Gene was a devoted husband and father and will be profoundly missed by all who came across his path. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas O. and Frances Eloise Maddox.
Survivors include his loving wife, Katherine H. Maddox of Buckhead; son, Christopher Maddox of Madison; daughter, Barbara Maddox of Durham, NC; brothers and sister-in-law, Paul Maddox of Rydal, Pete and Lynda Parker of Augusta.
A Memorial Service for Gene will be held Monday, December 17, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Rev. Mike Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to his service, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.(www.themmrf.org)
