George G. Spencer, of Covington, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020, at 84 years of age. Mr. Spencer proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner and operator of Double G's Restaurant Bar & Grill. Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by his step-son, Joey Woody (Spencer); parents, George Washington and Mary Louise (Bays) Spencer; two sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include Shirley Spencer; daughters, Kimberly Mann, Kathy Silvers; step-son, Jody Woody; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, June Hudson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID-19, and coronavirus pandemic recommendations, a celebration of life for Mr. Spencer will be held at a later date.
