George “Trey” Woodrow Wilson, III, of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the age of 41. Trey liked joking around with everyone and if he picked on you, he liked you. He was selfless and always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Trey loved anything with wheels on it, and in his spare time, liked tinkering with things. He loved life, lived with his whole heart, and loved everyone – especially his family and fur babies. Trey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George Woodrow, Sr., and Rivey Roberta Wilson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia “Ginny” Wilson; mother, Melinda A. Wilson; father, Woody Wilson; sister, Krystal Allen (Nick); brother, Steven Wilson (Krista); maternal grandparents, William Douglas and Margaret Arrington; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; as well as his fur babies, Penny Hankie, Gunner, and Dolly.
A Memorial Service for Trey will be held Monday, May 16, 2022, 6:30 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, prior to his service, from 5:00 – 6:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atlanta Humane Society at https://atlantahumane.org/ or to the Atlanta Boxer Rescue at https://www.atlantaboxerrescue.org/ .
Governor Brian Kemp’s latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public. Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.
