Glenda Jo Lord

Glenda Jo Lord of Covington, passed away at Abbey Hospice, May 18, 2011, at the age of 63. Mrs. Lord was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, in Covington. She retired from Lithonia Lighting, after 33 years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Peek and Mildred Addie (Treadwell) Christian.Survivors include her husband, Fred W. Lord of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Danny Hammond of Lawrenceville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Paul Deerman, Mary Rogers, Virginia and Bill Aaron, all of Covington; grandchildren, Lindsey Hammond, Chelsea Hammond; nieces and nephews, Lisa Aaron and Carolyn Davis, Denise and Junior Edwards, Diane and Rich Sale, Henry and Fay Cofer, Joann Smart, Katrina and Roger Self, Mike and Vickie Lester, Gary and Charlene Lester; several great nieces and nephews; great-great niece, Ryleigh Hope Edwards.A Graveside Service for Mrs. Lord will be held Friday, May 20, 2011, 11:00 AM, at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Covington, with Rev. Charles Hodnett and Dr. David Moody officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., in Covington, Thursday, May 19, from 6-8 PM.
