Glenn L. (Bud) Dennison

Access RoadGlenn L. (Bud) Dennison of Covington, passed away April 25, 2010, at the age of 91. Mr. Dennison served in the Army during World War II under General George Patton. A resident of Covington for over 65 years, he was active in community affairs, a member of the Covington Rotary Club, volunteer firefighter, and an active participant in the annual Empty Stocking Fund which was very special to him. Mr. Dennison owned his own business repairing appliances and televisions, and also had several coin laundries. As a Senior Member at both Fieldstone and The Oaks Course, he loved playing golf, and did so with the same group of friends for more than 50 years. Mr. Dennison attended the Masters, in Augusta, annually for over 50 years. He was a beloved and very special dad and husband. Mr. Dennison was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Pirkle) Dennison; parents, Jesse Leon and Claire (Hammer) Dennison; sister, Martyne Edmonds; and brother, Harry Dennison. Survivors include his loving daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Frank Lazenby of Mansfield; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bill Katrakis of Sun City, AZ; sister-in-law, Ellen Denison of Battleground, WA; granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Page and her husband, Bradley Page of Waycross, Julie Catherine Lazenby of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Matthew Page, Jonathan Page, Sydney Page, all of Waycross. A Memorial Service for Mr. Dennison will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2010, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Adam Cooper as Celebrant. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Good Samaritan Health Center, Attn: William C.
