Grace Hubbard

Grace Hubbard of Decatur died November 29, 2010, at Westbury Health & Rehabilitation Center in Conyers, at the age of 89.  The daughter of the late Garland L. and Clara Bell Thompson Samples, she was the widow of the late George I. Hubbard, Sr.  She was formerly employed by Sears, Roebuck & Company as an assistant manager in retail sales.  Mrs. Hubbard loved to crochet and do needlework, and enjoyed working in the yard, planting flowers and vegetable gardening.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, George, Jr. and Apryll Hubbard, of Stockbridge; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Dena and Robert Quinton of Locust Grove; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Bonnie Samples of Decatur, Kent and Jeannette Samples of Canton. Funeral services for Mrs. Hubbard will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, Covington, with Rev. Kent Samples, officiating, and interment following in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Decatur.
