Grace Piper

Grace Piper of Covington passed away December 26, 2012 at Rockdale Health & Rehab. She was 91 years of age at the time of her death. Mrs. Piper was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Piper; parents, Dan S. and Eva Byrd; brother, Jesse Byrd; and nephew, Terry Middlebrooks. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and squirrel hunting, and had a special love for music.
Survivors include her nephew, David Byrd and his wife, Linda, Donald Byrd and his wife, Joan, all of Covington; as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Piper will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 28, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Billy Sheppard officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, February 27, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
