Grady C. Amerson, Sr., was born August 9, 1955, to Jessie C. (J.C.) and Frances Amerson of Covington, Georgia. Grady, Sr., passed away June 8, 2019, in Bethany, Oklahoma, where he lived with his wife, Mary Amerson.
Grady loved people. He was always happy to see everyone. He enjoyed a good laugh and giving everyone a hard time. Grady loved anything to do with the carnival life. He loved taking pictures of the carnival rides and eating a good footlong corndog. Grady loved his family. He was a very proud grandpa of a girl, Destiny, and two little boys, Gabriel and Eli.
Grady is survived by his wife, Mary Amerson; son and daughter-in-law, Grady, Jr., and Tiffany Amerson; grandchildren, Destiny, Gabriel, Eli; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Norma Jean Amerson; step-daughters, Jennifer Powers, Jordan Scott; special friends, Jason Lucerro, Don Hammel; and a host of relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019, 2:00 P.M., at Abiding Grace Lutheran Church, 5500 Highway 212, Covington, Georgia, with Pastor John Scharf and Vicar Orie Thornford officiating.
The Amerson family would like to give special thanks to the people who helped make this memorial service special, Pastor Scharf and the Abiding Grace family, Shawn and Kristina Butler and Devon Yarbrough - without the extra hands and time you gave, this would not
