Mr. H. Grady Hogan of Covington died October 22, 2011 at the age of 85. He was born in Madison, GA to the late Henry Grady Sr. and Mary Clair Hawk Hogan and was preceded in death by his wife Marianne Turner Hogan; brothers, W.C. Hogan, James Hogan & sister, Frances Tuell. Grady was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, enjoyed feeding the geese and ducks at Green Valley Farm, working in the yard and traveling. He also enjoyed eating at Henderson's restaurant. Grady loved his pets and spending time with his family and friends as he never met a stranger. He was retired from Big Star Foods & Doster's Food Pride.
Grady is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Shyron Ivey of Monroe, Doug and Pam Ivey of Lawrenceville, Roger and Kim Ivey of Dacula; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy and Darrein Costley of Oxford, Jakie Hogan of Covington; grandchildren, Joey, Alison, Kevin, Steven, Cody, Turner, Ryan, J. Paul, Faith; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Gordon, Christopher, Parker, Nicholas; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Rachel Hogan of Thomaston; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Grady will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 11:00 A.M. at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with Dr. Larry Cheek officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 24, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
