H. Carlton Waldrop of Conyers, passed away July 16, 2015, at the age of 78. Carlton was a member and a Deacon at Union Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Verna (Farmer) Waldrop; and brothers, Eugene and James Waldrop. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Carlton devoted his life to helping those in need. After retiring from Delta Air Lines, Carlton would most often be seen in his trademark Liberty overalls on his way to or from helping the elderly or others in need.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Waldrop; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sarah Waldrop of Bogart, GA; grandchildren, Caroline and Dr. Peter Zavislak of Chicago, IL, Katarina Waldrop of Bogart, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Bill Prescott; sister-in-law and husband, Nelda and Leon Brownlee; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation for Carlton Waldrop will be held Sunday, July 19, 2015, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. To honor his request a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
