Hazel Knight Dalton

Hazel Knight Dalton, a lifelong resident of Newton County, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the age of 94. Mrs. Dalton was born May 9, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie T. and Adela Pearl (Walker) Knight; and siblings, Perry Knight, Luther Knight, Charlie Knight, Jr., Mildred Knight Lemonds, Kathryine Knight Garner.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Patsy and James "Buck" Smith, Barbara Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Betty Dalton, Wayne and Janice Dalton, Robert and Shelvie Dalton, Tony Dalton; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; as well as 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Dalton will be held Monday, May 13, 2019, 11:00 A.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington, with Rev. Nolan Jackson and Dr. Alan Posey officiating. Friends may visit with Mrs. Dalton's family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, one hour prior to her service, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M.
