Hazel McIntyre of Covington passed away June 26, 2012 at Southern Plantation in Loganville. She was 94 years of age at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayburn Denver McIntyre, and parents, George Washington and Nettie (Bowen) Smith. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and traveling. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her daughter and sons-in-law, Carmen Duren of Cumming, GA, Bobbie Joyce and Ed Burns of Springville, AL, Marcene and Dwight Phillips of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, John and Peggy McIntyre of AL; sister, Pauline Pitts of San Diego, CA; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. McIntyre will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Rev. Frank Holmes and Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
