Helen G. Johnson

Helen G. Johnson, age 81, of Covington, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019. Mrs. Johnson was a supportive member of Glenn Haven Baptist Church where she faithfully worshipped her Lord. She adored her family, treasured her friends, and had a love for children with special needs. Mrs. Johnson's hobbies included cross-stitch and cooking. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Maynard C. Johnson; daughter, Kathy Johnson; and parents, Robert and Permelia (Henry) Gordon.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Ed Hinely, Judy and Terry Goodman; son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Thanya Johnson; grandchildren, Stephen Buckley, Michael Buckley, Matthew Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Noah Johnson; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Bennett, Brayden, Brycson, Liam, Beckham.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Johnson will be held Monday, January 14, 2019, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Stan Berrong officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may visit with Mrs. Johnson's family at the funeral home two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 P.M.
