Helen B. Kirkpatrick

Floyd StreetHelen B. Kirkpatrick, of Covington, passed away May 3, 2013 at the age of 85.  She worked in the local textile mills for over 46 years and was a member of Gaithers United Methodist Church.   She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting and cooking.  Mrs. Kirkpatrick was preceded in death by her sons, Morris Fincher, Randy Fincher;  parents, Wilburn Ashburry and Birtie Mae (Carlan) Brock; sisters, Tallie Kittle, Dixie Brock, Lottie Ballard, Irene Wilbanks; brothers, Deward Brock, John Brock.   Survivors include her husband, Walker Sams Kirkpatrick, Sr. of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Shawn McPherson of Conyers, Lisa and Fritz Amerin of Covington; son and daughters-in-law, Walker, Jr. and Linda Kirkpatrick of Covington, Karen Fincher of Oxford; 9 grandchildren;  14 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Herman Goddard of Covington; several nieces and nephews.   Funeral Services from Mrs. Kirkpatrick will be held Monday, May 6, 2013, 1:00 PM, at Gaithers United Methodist Church, 1375 Newton Factory Bridge Road, in Covington, with Rev. Brad Rutledge officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
