Henry O. Lester

Henry O. Lester of Covington, passed away April 20, 2014, at the age of 82. He was a member of Highview Baptist Church, and was very active in the work of the church while he was able. He was an electrician, by trade, and enjoyed woodworking and watching the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Lester was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Christine Lester; brother, Joe Brown Lester; and his parents, Benjamin and Lena (Chapman) Lester.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Hazel B. Lester; sister, Eugenia Taylor of Warrenton; daughter at heart, Janice Faye; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Lester will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park with Minister Don Day officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 22, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or contributions may be made to the family to assist with medical expenses incurred during his extended illness.
