Hiltrud Dipierro, of Covington, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the age of 80. Married for 62 plus years to the love of her life Joseph, they met on October 15, 1961, while Joseph was in the service in Germany and knew right away that they would spend the rest of their lives together. Mrs. Dipierro was always very supportive of her husband while he was in the military. She became a citizen in 1967 and embraced the American dream. From 1996 – 2000 she was the First Lady while her husband served as Mayor of Jamesburg, New Jersey. Mrs. Dipierro spoke three languages and worked in the banking and financial services industry throughout her life. She was the strongest woman you would ever meet, a loving wife, mother, and Oma. Mrs. Dipierro dedicated her life to her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Grubbs; parents, Kurt and Hildegard Fink; and brothers, Kurt Fink, Gert Fink.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Dipierro; daughters, Diana Moon (Robert), Michelle Fairey (Darren); grandchildren, Anthony McAuliffe, Kendel McAuliffe, Dani Fairey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Dipierro will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home, Friday, June 28, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association at https://www.lung.org/ .
