Hollis L. Morris

Hollis L. Morris of Conyers passed away May 24, 2016, at the age of 75. Most recently Mr. Morris was employed with Golden State Foods, where he worked for 15 years. Prior to Golden State Foods, he worked for Coca-Cola, for 10 years, and M&M Appliance, in Lithonia, for 5 years. He was a simple man who appreciated the simple things in life. Mr. Morris enjoyed fishing and working in his vegetable garden. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceding him in death were his parents, Lester Lee and Martha Louise Morris.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Morris; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Angela Morris, Matthew and Roxanne Morris; grandchildren, Matthew, Jr., Jessica, Cassey, Austian, Marissa, Makayla; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Phillip Morris, Charles Morris; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Morris will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Pastor Cecil Morris officiating and interment following in Corinth Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation at the funeral home Tuesday, May 31, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, GA 30346.
