Hoyt Colman Corley

Hoyt Colman Corley, lifelong Conyers resident, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the age of 71. Mr. Corley attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, in Conyers. He was employed with Sears & Roebuck for over 22 years and retired from Leeway Transport. Mr. Corley enjoyed going to car shows, races, and watching football. He was beloved by many children for his likeness to Santa. Mr. Corley was a loyal husband, loving father, and wonderful grandfather. He was preceded in death by his son, Jessie Matthew Corley; parents, Harold Hoyt and Anna Laura Corley; and brother, Joe Corley.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Veronica Corley; son, Jason Corley (Jamie); grandchildren, Amber McDowell, Jade Roy, James Moore, Macie Corley, Max Corley; great-grandchildren, Asia, Sophie, Archer, Braelie, Jett, Judah, Jayleena, Arrow, Micah; sister, Jackie Owens (James); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Corley will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022, 2:00 P.M., at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, 699 American Legion Road NE, in Conyers, with Pastor Scott Richardson officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, on Tuesday, November 22, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
