He was preceded in death by his father, Elton Elliott Thompson; and his mother, Ruby (Robertson) Thompson-Kemp.Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Marian (Foster) Thompson of Covington.A Memorial Service for Mr. Thompson will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Ronny Brannen, Larry Brandau and Ron Compton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prospect United Methodist Church, 6752 Highway 212, Covington, GA 30016; or Hometown Animal Rescue, 1490 Enchanted Lake Drive, NW, Conyers, GA 30012.
