Jack Klarman, of Conyers, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the age of 81. Before retiring from Pitney Bowes Corporation, Mr. Klarman called upon his people skills and his knack for making genuine connections to carve out a long and successful career in sales. He was a longtime member of Evangel Temple in DeKalb County as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Klarman was gifted with a servant’s heart and had an innate desire and willingness to render help and assistance to anyone in need. He also had a passion for baseball which led him to pursue umpiring for ACC baseball, mostly calling games for Georgia Tech and Clemson. In an interesting turn where art imitated life, Mr. Klarman had a small speaking part as an umpire in the film, The Slugger’s Wife . He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Ann Klarman; and parents, George John Klarman, II, and Daisy (Beach) Klarman.
Mr. Klarman will be thoughtfully and lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Kim Klarman and Rick Slayton of Bethlehem; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jeri Klarman of Conyers, John Klarman of Auburn, GA; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Klarman will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020, 2:00 P.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Ouida Bradford officiating.
