Jacqueline Pickett Whitten

Jacqueline Pickett Whitten of Conyers, passed away February 20, 2018, at the age of 77. Mrs. Whitten faithfully attended The Church at Covington. When she was able, she enjoyed playing tennis and golf. Additionally, she liked going to Turner Lake where she worked with ceramics with the Seniors group. Mrs. Whitten was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Hinniard and Ina Belle (Lumsden) Pickett; sisters, Florrie P. Jenkins, Emma Louise Moore, Martha P. Lunsford, Zillah P. Sosby, Emily Elizabeth Jones; brothers, Franklin Lanier Pickett, Homer Royce Pickett, Charlie Harold Pickett.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Edward Gary Whitten; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry and John Hill of Tehachapi, CA, Christy D. Agard of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Gary Shawn Whitten of Fort Pierce, FL; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Juanita Kitchens of Covington, Shirley and Kirk Watkins of Social Circle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Cryptside Service for Mrs. Whitten will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018, 3 PM, at Memory Chapel Mausoleum in Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor David Payne officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, two hours prior to her service, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.
